Personal data — what Ori reads:
Your music history. Your photos. Your messages and posts. The places you visited. Your food orders. Your watch history.

This is the data that tells your story. It's meaningful to you and to no one else.

Sensitive data — what Ori never asks for:
Bank accounts. Passwords. Medical records. Government IDs. Financial information.

Ori has no way to read these even if you tried to upload them. The processors that handle your data are built to extract memories — not financial or medical information.

Ori makes money two ways. A small monthly subscription for users who want the full experience. And Ori Discoveries — when Ori determines you would genuinely love something, a brand may pay to be introduced to you. Your data is never sold. That is not a promise we make to sound good. It is how the business works.

When you ask Ori a question or generate your feed, your data is sent to Claude by Anthropic to generate your insights. Anthropic does not retain or train on your personal data. The processing happens and the data is not stored by Anthropic.

Your data is encrypted at rest and stored in isolated private databases. We use Supabase which is SOC 2 compliant infrastructure.

In the unlikely event of a breach your data would be encrypted and not directly readable. We would notify affected users immediately and tell you exactly what happened.

We will never hide a breach or pretend it did not happen.

Go to your profile and tap Delete My Account and All Data. Everything is gone permanently within seconds — your memories, your photos, your account. No waiting period. No recovery. Gone.

We think you should always be able to leave and take nothing with you.

When you upload WhatsApp or Facebook messages, those conversations include messages from other people. Those people did not consent to being in Ori.

We take this seriously. Ori processes message data only to generate insights about your own communication patterns. We never surface other people's messages publicly or share them with anyone. Only you can see your data.

We encourage you to be thoughtful about which conversations you upload.

One — Ori Plus subscription at a small monthly fee for users who want unlimited insights and the full experience.

Two — Ori Discoveries. When Ori determines a genuine match between your interests and a product or place, that brand may pay for the introduction. You never see generic ads. Only things Ori has specifically determined you would love based on your actual history.

Three — Ori Trend Intelligence. Completely anonymised aggregate data showing collective patterns — what music is being rediscovered, how people's habits change after major life events. Individual users are never identifiable. You can opt out of this entirely in your profile settings.
